• Old Mahabalipuram Road (OMR) also popularly known as the IT corridor of Chennai hosts numerous tech and business parks along it’s way. The never ending stretch, more than 45 km long, initiates from Taramani and terminates at Karanai
  • Apart from the IT factor, the long corridor is also a preferred destination due to its well established social infrastructure and availability of amenities.
  • The stretch is very distinctive from one part to the other. Where some areas are close to the IT hub, some offer smooth connectivity and some are in the vicinity of entertainment zones. Each having its own drivers and USPs.
  • The software, technology, IT and business parks located here are CeeDeeYes, Ascendas, SIPCOT, Elcot, KG 360 Degrees, RMZ Millenia and recently the World Trade Centre has also been added.
  • Prominent schools, hospitals and malls on the stretch include Evergreen Matriculation, Gateway International, Sushil Hari International, Chettinad Health City, Apollo Speciality, The Marina Mall, Saravana Stores, The Crown Mall and BMR Mall.
  • The second phase of OMR from Siruseri to Mahabalipuram, a distance of 25 km, is now gearing up for the upcoming 6-lane highway
  • The construction for the 118.9 km phase-2 metro rail project is expected to begin in 2020. The stretch from Kovilambakkam will link localities like Medavakkam and Perumbakkam.
  • As per data,  2BHK flat can cost you anywhere between Rs 20 lakh to Rs 1.80 crore, while a 3BHK is available at a price of  Rs 30 lakh and can go up to over Rs 3.50 crore. Plots are also available on this corridor and are priced at Rs 700-3,000 per sqft. These are majorly approved by the Directorate of Town & Country Planning (DTCP) and are available in gated communities.
